I've shared some version of this song every Halloween for, um. A few years now? And it is absolutely possible that no one would notice or care if I skipped a year. I really did think twice about doing it this year, but -- I have so few traditions! And man, today was so quiet. SO quiet. No one was out trick-or-treating, no one was Thriller-ing down Sixth Avenue. So if I can still deliver Tim Curry in a cape to the masses? Dammit, I'm gonna.
I have to say, a Saturday Halloween would've really ticked me off as a kid. In parochial school, it's all about All Saints' Day -- November 1st. School is OUT. Because...spirits, or something. Without the unearned day off, what's the point?
