Oh, my God. In retrospect, I really do feel like I made way too big a deal out of this, and yet, at the same time -- it was scary! And...I'm still kinda not over it?

As soon as they left, I called the cops and spoke to a lady officer who wasn't entirely unsympathetic, but who DID say (laughingly. Laughingly!) "wow, it's a good thing you had the money to give them." I MEAN...

YEAH, I GUESS.
