Oh, God, no, I was ecstatic that she got off so easy! And, frankly, stone cold shocked, just because -- the luck of it all, I guess. But yeah, I've heard a lot of stories about one person in a household just kind of magically not getting it, or only showing the mildest of symptoms. Hell, I know someone whose husband *died* of Covid, and all she had was a couple days of throat scratchiness. Amazing.
Random surprises are the best surprises! (But fair warning: if you ever jump out at me from behind a pillar and scream "Happy Birthday!" I will probably scream and slap you. Several people have already learned that the hard way. :)
It's turning out to be a terrible season for mucus in general! Seems like everyone who doesn't have Covid has the plain, old, ordinary flu, which, you're right, hasn't made the rounds in awhile! Well, seeing as I am hellaciously late replying to this comment, I'm hoping you're feeling better by now. But even so, I second your Bleah.
