Merry Christmas, friends and well wishers! I wrote a thing!

I definitely could've used an extra day or two to tighten it up a little, and I know it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea, but I can honestly say, with utmost confidence:

It exists!

When my beloved MtYG challenge announced it was ending this year, I knew right away I'd be writing something anyway. (Make no mistake, though. My mourning period's not over yet. It may never be over.) But I was feeling defiant and sorry for myself, and fully expected the whole process to be a grim, iron-jawed, almost masturbatorial affair. Just me, alone in a room, typing furiously with a dying sprig of mistletoe hanging over my head. Like the Unabomber, if the Unabomber'd had a taste for boyband smut.

Then musicboxgirl suggested we do a swap, and suddenly everything felt festive again! Christmas restored!

I'm too dramatic for my own good. I know it. But I also know this: It's Christmas Day and I just posted a popslash fic. All is calm. All is bright.

I'm glad to hear you say that, 'cos I was worried I oversold it -- just by mentioning its existence. Like, yes, I'm fully aware that that was the only thing I said about it -- and yet... :)
