Alright, fine, so I disappeared for a day or two. Sue me. :)

Day 6 - great dialogue

Two Straight Guys in Wisconsin: The Amazing Adventures of Chris and His Cock by Rhys (Chris/Lance)
http://www.dirtystory.net/experimentv/twostraight.html
For all my bitching and moaning that I'm not a Trickyfish person, I've always thought this story contained some excellent exchanges. And while Chris conversing with his own junk may not qualify as "dialogue", per se, it's still some mighty entertaining stuff.

Day 7 - a crossover with another fandom you knew before you read the story

One Night in Sunnydale and the World's Your Oyster by Sperrywink (Chris/JC)
http://www.maketheyuletidegay.org/appthena.do?o.action=view_story&o.key=159
Taking the boys of Nsync, throwing them into the Buffyverse and topping it all off with a dash of good old-fashioned TrickC pining is about as clever a move as I've ever seen. :)

Day 8 - a piece that's presented in an unexpected way

The Song of Chris Kirkpatrick by [livejournal.com profile] pensnest (Chris/JC)
http://www.pensnest.co.uk/Pop%202009/hiawatha.html
An epic (and epically funny) poem written in the style of H W Longfellow's The Song of Hiawatha, a work that I was unhappily forced to memorize in the sixth grade but which will now forevermore be associated in my mind with popslash hilarity.

\o/ It really *needs* to be a popslash poem, I feel. And I very much approve of your other recs, particularly since i don't remember reading the Sunnydale one, which is always nice.

Well, that pounding-drumbeat-rythm IS very provocative. :) And now I'm thinking about the idea of popslash poetry in general - it should totally be A Thing. (That might be a good idea for a challenge sometime: one in which each poem is written in the style of a different famous poet. Or I guess it could always scare people away from writing challenges altogether.)

I'm trying to keep my recs obscure, but I just took a peek at the themes for the next few days and I'm afraid they're about to get very obvious, very fast.

I haven't yet read Buffy (though I'm squeeing with excitement), but I just gave up a half-hour to the Wisconsin story, which I ADORED. The end made me tear up, actually. *hugs you*

And the Buffy story - PERFECT! So spot-on.

Were you a fan of the show? I went through a major Buffy phase, back in the day.

Of course Willow would be a teenie! Such a cute story.

I wonder if anybody ever wrote Justin/Buffy? They could compare what it's like to be so far above the rest of us mortals.

I can't help but think Buffy'd lose patience with Justin's preening before too long. But I'm sure they'd have fun for awhile first!
