traditions
Dec. 21st, 2011 11:25 pmTonight I fulfilled my annual Christmas tradition of crying on the subway. I call it a tradition because, believe it or not, this is at least the third December in a row that I've done it. This year I blame it on a combination of general holiday malaise and a street musician playing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" on the saxophone. Why do saxophones always sound so damn plaintive?
On a brighter note, I finished my sesa assignment and got it in just under the wire. And even though I hate it with a fiery passion (because I suspect it reads like a hastily written hackjob that manages to be both boring AND incoherent at the same time) I still feel really positive about the whole experience. I'm hoping it bodes well for the future i.e. me crawling out of my shell to say hello every now and again. Cause at a certain point, extreme, incapacitating shyness just stops being cute, right?
