makin' the yuletide gayer

On the off chance my Santa's reading this, I just want them to know I probably won't have a chance to really immerse myself in my story the way I want to 'til tomorrow night at the earliest. So if my feedback isn't all that prompt, don't be bummed! Blame me and my inability to power through a food coma, Santa -- not your writing skills!

But also, please know that, lacking any and all self control, I admit to clicking on it just now. I skimmed the first three sentences, screeched like a pterodactyl, and closed the tab in a blind panic.
