- I just spent the last 45 minutes playing every cat person's favorite game, "What Smells Like Rancid Pee?" After tearing apart my storage closet, I managed to find the source: a pile of old Christmas tree skirts. Of all things.

Do I win a prize? Other than a whirlwind round trip to the laundry room in the middle of the night, that is?

- I saw The Nance last night - for free! Because when it comes to scavenging free tickets to stuff, I'm, like, a...totally talented...ticket-acquiring...person. (Note to self: invent some decent similes.) The Times was kind of lukewarm about it, but I thought it was pretty terrific and now I want to write ALL THE maudlin, sepia-toned 1930's AUs, with the guys surreptitiously eying one another at the Automat and flirting in code and wearing their fedoras tilted rakishly to one side.

All I have to do is summon up the energy. That's the hard part. Sigh.

So for some reason rather than going to bed I decided to skim backward through your older LJ posts, having sent you my random note on disappearing during the Thread That Would Not Die, and this one was the one that put me over into the eye-wiping, wheezy laughter thing.
